Westbound & Down Brewing Company Colorado Pale Ale Beer

House IPA | COLORADO PALE ALE

This American IPA has a bright citrus aroma from dry hopping with Cascade, Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra hops. They are balanced with formidable malt flavor from Maris Otter malt.

WESTBOUND DOUBLE IPA*

We did not hold back on this DIPA. A ludicrous amount of Vic Secret, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Cryo Mosaic hops pack big aromas of tangerine, blueberry, papaya, and other tropical fruits. Even with all of those hops you do get a nice sweet biscuit malt profile, that ends in a clean dry finish.

WESTBOUND PORTER

An American Porter with an abundantly sweet chocolate and molasses aroma. Mild roastiness, chocolate character, and notes of toffee and biscuit come together in this well-bodied brew.

ABV 6.6%

ANOTHER IPA

This IPA is bursting with aromas and flavors of resin, pine, and grapefruit! Using Cascade, Cascade Cryo, Chinook, and Simcoe hops we wanted to get a flavor profile reminiscent of an old school Westcoast IPA. These flavor profiles backed with a slight sweetness from the malt help let it finish out nice and dry.

GENERAL MACARTHUR’S SCOTCH ALE

FRAMBOAT DRINKS*

Sour saison with Balaton cherries refermented with our Solera Saison in Cabernet barrels and raspberries added. The cherries were previously fermented on our house sour beer, and thus provided the acid-producing bacteria. Big fruit aromas find delicate spice on the tongue, ending in a tart, refreshing beverage. Tiki umbrella not provided.

ABV 6%

SOLERA SAISON*

Batch 1, spring 2018. Aged in an American Oak Foeder for 100 days. Our Solera Saison follows a traditional Solera process by which only a portion of the liquid is removed for packaging and fresh young beer is added back to the Foeder, creating an ever-evolving, continually complex beer. Fermented with 3 Saison strains, 5 Brettanomyces strains and 3 Lactobacillus strains making for a funky and lightly acidic beverage.

*Bottles available to-go $16/750ml while supplies last.

ABV 6.2%

BEL-HOP POP BELGIAN STRONG

Our third version of a dry-hopped Belgian Ale. Czech Agnus, Saaz, US Goldings, and Styrian Goldings Hops give the aroma a sweet nose of grass, citrus, earth, and slight pepper notes. Fruity and peppery esters from the yeast help compliment the hop profile.

ABV 7 .3%

BELGIAN PALE

Westmalle Trappist Ale yeast gives this beer distinctive coriander and black pepper spice notes, yet a cold fermentation makes it approachable and a well balanced beer. Brewed with a blend of Pilsner malt and Double Roasted Crystal malt, they give it a nice toasty, biscuity, and honey flavors.

Tart and Juicy in all respects. 5 varieties in total: Blackberry, Raspberry, Berry Blend (Blackberry, Raspberry, and Blueberry), Orchard Blend (Peach, Apricot, and Plum), and New Orleans Drive Thru (Pineapple, Passionfruit, and Mango). THE OTHER ANNIVERSARY IPA

To celebrate two years, we revisited some of our favorite hop combinations from the last year, Enigma, Idaho #7, and Equaknot, and backed up this tropical fruit salad with our favorite base malts, Maris Otter and German Pilsner Malt, and a touch of wheat. Drink now to celebrate, because this one won’t last long.
